ABOUT ANDY FRENCH


Andy French is SVP, Sales and Marketing for DMI Music, one of the world’s premier music branding and audio programming agencies.  French helps conceive, develop and execute high-profile music initiatives for clients such as Bristol-Myers Squibb, Delta Air Lines, General Mills, Kellogg’s, Nestlé, Proctor & Gamble, Subway Restaurants, The U.S. Army, United Airlines, Wyndham Hotels and the top three theater chains in the U.S., AMC, Regal & Cinemark.

French began his professional career at A&M Records where he handled Artist Relations duties for a roster of talent including Sting and Barry White.  In addition, he guided the early career development of numerous emerging artists worldwide and directed hundreds of celebrity promotions.

After eight years at A&M, French joined the staff of the Grammy Foundation, the nonprofit arm of the Recording Academy, where he managed their flagship education initiative, "Grammy in the Schools" – a music career day for high school students in 15 cities around the country.  He also developed the “Smart Symphonies” program to educate parents on the value of music for their children.  The program included three multi-platinum CDs, which have been translated into 18 languages and distributed in 33 countries around the world -- almost 10 million free classical music CDs to date. 

French holds a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Washington and has received a Professional Certification in Individual and Organizational Coaching from the Hudson Institute of Santa Barbara.
